President John F. Kennedy once hosted a dinner celebrating American Nobel laureates. Addressing the guests he said that this was “the most extraordinary collection of talents…that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined here alone.”

I am an avid admirer of Thomas Jefferson, whom I believe to be the greatest President in the history of our nation. Sometimes I think "if he could see that, he'd roll over in his grave" while at other times I feel like he would be incredibly proud of our country and all that we've done in the last 230+ years.

Love that quote! I didn’t know (or didn’t remember) who said it, or on what occasion. A great introduction to a promising blog. I can’t help but remember how the Nobel Laureates felt about it…
